In my artistic practice and research, I am engaged in the expanded field of sculpture where the negotiation with a specific situation plays a central role in material investigations of environmental and sustainability concerns.
As an internationally active artist, I have participated in exhibitions and artist-in-residencies in the Nordic countries, Europe, the USA, Canada, Cuba, China, India and Georgia. Grants awarded include The Swedish Arts Grant Committee, IASPIS International Collaboration Grant, Göteborg City Arts Council, The Nordic Ministry of Culture, Step-Beyond European Cultural Foundation, Foundation for Contemporary Arts, NY, Artist Enhancement Grant, Division of Cultural Affairs Miami, Arts Council England / British Arts Council International Collaboration Grant and the Dena Foundation, Italy.
In 2010 I founded Snowball Cultural Productions as a platform for my curatorial work which includes SculptureHUB – a forum and network aimed at women sculptors.
I am currently Senior Lecturer in Fine Art, Director of the BFA Fine Art Program at HDK-Valand University of Gothenburg, Sweden and an elected representative in the Steering Group for KUNO – a Nordplus network comprising 18 Nordic-Baltic fine art academies.
